Dimensionen und Relationen von Nachhaltigkeit in der Gesundheitsversorgung
Ein Beitrag zur Soziologie der Nachhaltigkeit

Nachhaltigkeit gewinnt als gesellschaftliche Leitperspektive auch im Gesundheitswesen zunehmend an Bedeutung. Internationale Strategien wie Global Health oder Planetary Health sowie die Medizin- und Gesundheitssoziologie greifen bereits soziale, ökologische und ökonomische Dimensionen von Nachhaltigkeit auf. Was bislang fehlt, ist jedoch eine explizite Anbindung dieser Diskurse an eine Soziologie der Nachhaltigkeit. Der vorliegende Beitrag nimmt diese Leerstelle auf und systematisiert die Vielschichtigkeit, Mehrdimensionalität und Kontextgebundenheit des Nachhaltigkeitsdiskurses im Gesundheitswesen. Vorgeschlagen wird ein analytisches Modell, das drei Relationen unterscheidet: eine normativ-politische Relation, die Deutungsrahmen und politische Programme umfasst; eine organisationale Relation, die institutionelle und strukturelle Verankerungen beschreibt; sowie eine handlungskontextuelle Relation, die praktische und alltagsbezogene Umsetzungen in den Blick nimmt. Diese Differenzierung schärft den Nachhaltigkeitsbegriff und eröffnet neue Anschlussmöglichkeiten für die Medizin- und Gesundheitssoziologie. Zugleich liefert sie Impulse für Public Health sowie für die Transformations- und Implementierungsforschung, indem sie Nachhaltigkeit als analytische Kategorie und als praktische Orientierung gleichermaßen konturiert.
